[Registration Desk] - 1st Floor on Nov. 5, 7, 8, 9

Remember your Registration ID will help you have a smoother check-in. Registration ID can be found in PIERS Author Center. Please always wear the badge at all times during the conference. Accompanying persons (checking in with a registered participant) can register with a payment of JPY 7,000, cash only.

[Registration Desk] - 2nd Floor on Nov. 6

The main entrance on the first floor cannot be used. Please enter from the International Exhibition Hall (West Entrance from the nearby hotels or Main Entrance from the Kaihin Makuhari station) of the second floor from 8:00 to 18:00 on November 6.

Please allow enough time to get into the venue, as we expect crowds on the day due to the high security level. Participants who will attend the conference on November 6, we highly recommend to check in on November 5.

[Security Gate]

All participants are required to go through a security gate to enter the conference venue including the session rooms. Please read the following information carefully.

• Please have your valid photo ID ready. Without ID, no one can enter the venue, even if you have a name badge for the conference.
• Bringing beverages in plastic bottles / containers is prohibited in the venue. Water server is available in the venue.
• Wristbands will be provided to participants after they have passed through the security gate. If you leave the venue, please make sure to return your wristband to the staff. Re-entry will require passing through the security gate again.

[NO cloakroom is available]

No cloakroom is available on November 6. Please leave any large luggage at your hotel or in a nearby locker before coming to the venue.

[Before Opening Ceremony]

The Opening Ceremony venue is open only at 14:30-15:30. Before 14:30, only the 3rd floor (session rooms) is open. Please note that all participants must pass through a security gate. Bringing in any beverages is not allowed in the venue. Please leave them in a coin locker before the security area in the Makuhari Messe or dispose them before passing through the security gate.
Please be sure to enter the Opening Ceremony venue (2F Convention Hall) by 15:30. After 15:30, you will not be able to enter the Opening Ceremony venue until the end of the Opening Ceremony. Also, if you leave the venue during the Opening Ceremony, you will not be allowed to re-enter until the end of the ceremony.
Please allow enough time to get into the venue, as we expect crowds on the day.
Please note that a non-registered person cannot attend the Opening Ceremony. If you have an accompanying person, please register him/her as an “Accompanying Person” at the on-site registration desk (JPY 7,000, cash only).

[After Opening Ceremony]

After Opening Ceremony, please go out the venue or go to the session rooms on the second and third floor between 16:40 and 17:00. Our staff will guide you, so please follow their instructions.
