Session Information

This session highlights recent advancements in metal-halide perovskite materials for light-energy conversion and radiation detection, a key platform for next-generation optoelectronic technologies. Topics include, but are not limited to, perovskite solar cells, photodetectors, X-ray detectors, and scintillators for imaging. The session will cover perovskite materials design strategies, such as compositional engineering, dimensionality control, and defect passivation, alongside device-level innovations in architecture, interface engineering, and integration techniques aimed at enhancing performance and reliability. In addition, fundamental insights into perovskite material properties, including charge transport, ion migration, and light–matter interactions, will be discussed to provide a deeper understanding of device operation and long-term stability. By bridging materials science, device physics, and applied engineering, this session offers a comprehensive overview of how perovskite materials are advancing solar energy harvesting and radiation detection technologies, while addressing key challenges for practical deployment.
