Session Information

This session aims to spotlight recent advancements in inverse electromagnetic techniques, encompassing both active and passive approaches, with applications spanning security, civil infrastructure, and medical imaging. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, ground penetrating radar (GPR), subsurface imaging, non-destructive testing, security screening, search and rescue operations, and biomedical diagnostics.
Significant progress has been achieved in the development of electromagnetic sensing and imaging systems operating across a broad frequency spectrum --- from very low frequencies up to the optical range. In particular, the use of ultra-wideband (UWB) signals has proven beneficial in enhancing both range resolution and cross-range resolution, especially in indoor environments and medical imaging.
Representative technologies include electrical impedance tomography, microwave and millimeter-wave imaging, terahertz (THz) imaging, and optical coherence tomography (OCT). Algorithmic contributions are also encouraged, such as linear and nonlinear inverse scattering techniques capable of producing either qualitative or quantitative reconstructions.
Some of these applications also require super resolution schemes and/or very fast computation for real time images with high quality and reliability. Theoretical investigations and studies aimed at other type of applications are also welcome.

Submitted Articles

Note: The following submitted articles are not guaranteed to be scheduled in the final program at this stage. The final presentation type and arranged session will be decided by Technical Program Committee.
