Session Information

Zero-index and exotic metamaterials have been demonstrated to exhibit extraordinary electromagnetic properties unattainable in natural materials, garnering significant attention across both scientific and engineering communities. This session aims to share innovative ideas and insightful understanding of zero-index and exotic metamaterials, exploring both fundamental physical principles and practical applications. Topics include, but are not limited to: light and electromagnetic wave-matter interactions in zero-index metamaterials, non-Hermitian and nonlinear phenomena in zero-index metamaterials, Dirac or Dirac-like conical dispersion-based zero-index systems, and the development of advanced electromagnetic/optical devices utilizing zero-index metamaterials. We hope this session can provide a comprehensive overview of the latest advancements and emerging trends in this rapidly evolving field of wave physics and metamaterial research.
